Stephen C. Huggins
Steve was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. He graduated from the Florida State University College of Business in 1985 and earned a B.S. in Marketing. After graduating, he promptly accepted a job with Champion Enterprises and traveled the Southeast as a factory representative dealing in recreational vehicles and modular homes.
In 1988, Steve’s financial advisor suggested that he consider pursuing a career in the investment industry. That year, he was hired as an Account Executive trainee by Morgan Stanley and was promoted through the years, ultimately named Senior Vice President/Investments in 1997. Steve joined Stifel in 2019 and was named to Forbes’ Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list in 2019 and 2022.
Although he has access to and recommends a variety of investments for his clients, Stephen’s primary focus is developing retirement planning strategies, including retirement plan distribution strategies and retirement plan strategies for small businesses. He has conducted seminars and retirement workshops for the employees of some nationally recognized companies, as well as many banks, credit unions, civic organizations, and clubs. He holds Series 7, 8, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).
Steve is an active member of Celebration Baptist Church. He is married to his wife, Barbara Huggins, and has two boys, Cameron Blair and Jeremy Daniel (J.D.) who are integral members of the team.
